Christmas Morning 2009

You would think with our kids being older that we would not get up early on Christmas day.  No such luck, Karrie woke up at 3 , then at 4 and then finally at 5 we all got up.  It is so funny how excited they still are about Christmas.   Karrie got a mini-laptop and Colby got a x-box 360 elite.  Cade got a new pair of chaps.  I still love this time of year even though the children are getting older and some are not at home with us.  After we opened our presents, we let Vincent go back to bed since he had worked the night before and would be going in later.  Cade had to go to work at 5 and would come home later in the day.  Casey called us at 9 and we went to his house to let the children open their presents from us.  They were so excited about what Santa had brought them.  Justin had received a workbench and Leah a kitchen.  They also got a riding John Deer tractor that they both loved.  I love buying for the grandkids and always overdue it, but Vincent never gets mad when it is for the grandchildren.
Colby doing an early morning stretch I guess.

Karrie going through some of the things Santa brought her.

Oh yes, the laptop, she was so excited to get.

Colby's smirky smile when he saw his x-box 360.

Casey's new house, this is their family room.  Luckly it is big for all the things that they received for Christmas this year.

Leah showing grandpa Vincent her laptop that she got from Santa.

Leah's kitchen and Megan and Caleb.

Colby and Justin playing with Justin's farm set.

Ralphie, the chocolate lab that Kylee gave them and Princess the cat that Kelly gave them having a moment of fun.  Cade had Caleb's name this year and bought them a golden retriver for $200.  They will get it in Feb.  Oh what fun they will have with all of their animals.

The big green tractor.

Justin's workbench, he will have so much fun with.  He loves to fix things all the time.

What a great Christmas this has been!!!!!  The year was busy with a wedding and this being Colby's senior year.  We also got a new grandbaby this year.  What a great life Vincent and I have.  I couldn't ask for anything better!!!!!!!!!!

Our Christmas Eve Party

This year Casey and Megan were at our house for Christmas Eve.   Vincent had to work and Kylee and Cory couldn't make it out.  We had a big dinnner and broke a piñata, which we have been doing since Casey was 1 years old.  Vincent's mom started the tradition and we are the only ones that have always done that.  It is great fun.  Then we open the presents of the people we drew names on and then we read the Christmas story and then sing happy b-day to Jesus.  It is very fun and I love preparing for this night.  Justin was able to hit the piñata first.

He was really getting into the hitting of the piñata.

Then it was Leah's turn to hit the piñata.  She was having a lot of fun too.

Swing Leah, Swing!!!!

Colby was the lucky one to be able to hold the piñata up

Justing hitting it again.  Really trying to break it so he could get the candy out of it.

The piñata fell to the ground and they both beat it with their sticks.  The poor fake hamsters were making sounds.

Everyone using their nerf little guns and their ice cream shooters to play with.

Justin was cleaver enought to put his ice cream shooter in his gun to shoot at people.

Even Cade enjoyed shooting with his ice cream shooter.

Caleb wondered if we were all crazy, maybe... maybe not

Then we opened the gifts, oh what fun that is.

Leah and Justin each had 2 to open because the persons that had them bought 2 gifts for them.  Spoiled I would say or really just loved a lot.

Colby helping Justing out.  Colby had Justin's name this year.

Megan opening her gift and giving Casey an interesting look.  I wonder what comment he made.

Justin is so excited for his batman car and Joker motorcycle.  He zoomed it down the hallway and it would automatically go faster.  It was really fun to play with.

Caleb was just all smiles all night.  He is such a happy baby.  We get him to laught all the time.

I didn't take any pictures of our Wii bowling game.  It was really fun and I finally won everyone.  It was a great evening.  Then we read the story about Jesus's birth and Leah told us that is why we have Christmas.  Then we sang happy b-day to Jesus. It was a great way to celebrate his birth and remember the true meaning of Christmas!!!!!!  I just wish everyone would have been able to be here.  We missed Kylee tremendously.  This was her first Christmas without us and I did have a hard time later though we are happy for her and glad to have Cory in our family.

My Family's Christmas Party

My wonderful mom decided to have a Christmas Party.  We had it in the building where she lives.  Karrie and I was the only ones able to attend this party from my family.  Colby was in Florida wrestling.  He took 2nd place.  He wasn't very happy about that.  I thought it was great.  Cade, Vincent and Casey had to work.  Kylee and Cory couldn't make it.  Most of Brenda's kids came  and Craig's family came except for Trevor.  It was fun to be with my crazy and I mean crazy, loud family.  I would have it any other way.
Rilee just sitting around while I help my mom.  She stole the hat from Harlee.   What a grinch.

Tucker Hayley's man.

Rylan ( One of Mandie's girl)

Rilee never did listen and she still doesn't.

Mandie and Daycen which is Rilee's little boy.  He gets his cute looks from me.

We  are teaching Daycen not to listen to his mom. My brother Craig is in the background.  Brendee Mandie's girl is also in this picture.

Aspen is Shallisa's youngest girl with her pj pants my mom gave her.

Here are some of us opening presents.  Yes, my mom went overboard again.  The little girl in the pink is Harlee, Hayley's girl.

Shallisa posing for a picture.

Sierra, Shallisa's oldest daughter.

My mom always buys all the older daughters a building for our Christmas villages.  There is mom in the glasses and Brenda and Rilee and Hayley's backside.

Brett, Mandie's husband who is always watching football games and never helping clean up.  LOL

My sister who I never get to visit with anymore.

Cody who is wearing something Mandie received from my mom.  I am not sure what you call it.

Brenda's kids being crazy.

What a bunch of crazy people, but you got to love them all.   And I do love them all.

Vincent's Family Christmas Party

Every year, Vincent's family has a Christmas Party.  It is great fun to see those who come and to see Santa come to the party every year.  We also exchange gifts and have lots of food to eat.  It is a fun time to be with Vincent's cousins and his Grandpa.
This is all from my family that was able to make it.  Colby had wrestling in Millard.  He won by pinning everyone except 2 that he actually teched. Kylee was unable to come with Cory.  We missed them dearly.  Hopefully next year they can make it.  What a cute bunch, if I was out of the picture.

Leah sitting on Santa's lap.  She asked for a doll that makes stinkys.  Insteresting kind of doll, I would say.

Caleb sitting on Santa's lap.  He is such a happy baby. He also had a good grip on Santa's beard.  I had to rush to save Santa.

Justin did not like to sit on Santa's lap. He was very unhappy.  I never had a child that didn't like to sit on Santa's lap.

Karrrie on Santa's lap.  She seems to want many things.  Santa asked her if she is a good girl.  She said yes of course.  I beg to differ. Her room is not always clean and she had a melt down about school reports that were due.   Compared to the oldest three, though she is a very good girl.

Yes, even I had to sit on Santa's lap.  I asked him to help me lose about 20 lbs.  I think I might have gained that instead of losing that.  He must have misunderstood me.

Casey's beautiful Family.  You will notice that Caleb has his mom's hair and dad seems to enjoy it.  He needs to get a lump of coal in his stocking.  Bad Casey.  Justin still didn't want to be near Santa.  I hope he isn't traumatized from this event of meeting Santa.

Colton's little girl, Alyssa, she is a cute.

Cody and Nikki's little boy.  Bryan.

Cody and Nikki's family.  They are such a fun people to hang out with.  We love to have game night with them.

Cash and Paulett and the kids that came to the party.

Matt and Barbra's family, Dallin, the one in the black jacket, just got home from a mission in South Africa.

Vincent's Granpa Paul.  He is the nicest man.  I love him dearly.

This Christmas party is a fun one.  We use to travel from Nevada every year to attend it.
