I wish we all could have went to visit Devyn, but I was the only one who was able to visit. He is just so fun and cute. I went out on Saturday and came back on Sunday. It was way worth the time. I don't want him to not know who I am so I will go out as often as possible. I wish Kylee and Cory could visit us more. They are wonderful parents.

I can't believe Devyn turned one already. He is growing up so fast. Kylee and Cory are awesome parents. They are doing such a great job as parents. Devyn is so happy and can walk all over. He also can tell you the sounds that animals make. His favorite thing to do is to tell you no, no. Grandma Tammy never tells him NO. He is way too cute to tell him No. I had so much fun spending time with him for his birthday. He is just so fun.

Leah and Justin's First Soccer

Today was Justin's first soccer game and Leah's second game. It was so fun to watch both of them play. It brings back memories when my children played soccer. Justin would stand there at first because his coach told him to stand here. He didn't realize that he could move. He finally caught on. Justin is number 4.

Today we went to the picnic held by Simplot up in their meadow. It was so fun. Megan and Casey with their kids came to play. The kids seem to have a blast. It is so nice to spend time with family. Wish Kylee, Cory, and Devyn could have come to this picnic. We ate lots of food and had lots of fun.

Every year since Vincent was 2 years old, his whole family has a Christmas party. It is a great time to get together with family. Santa comes and the kids get to spend time with him. Casey's kids are not so sure about Santa and they are rather scared of him. It was a great time for all who were able to come.

The Christmas Party is a fun time. We enjoy going and spending time with everyone. Grandpa Paul gets gifts for everyone. That is not an easy job. We all love him a lot!!!

Karrie's Swimming Time

Karrie has been on the swimming team for the High School this year. She loves it. It is really hard for her with her asthma. The coaches say they have never seen a girl with such heart. She never gives up. She may not win, but she never, never gives up!!!! Karrie, you are awesome!!!

I have to sneak to go and watch her. She doesn't like family to come and watch. She thinks she is not as good as her sister and brothers. I believe she is wonderful in her own way. I am proud of the things she accomplishes on her own.

Halloween 2010

Megan brought the kids over. This year, Justin and Leah decided to be vampires. Justin let us know that he is a boy vampire and Leah is a girl vampire. Then Megan decided to make Caleb a bat. She is so talented and the costumes turned out so dang cute. It was fun to see them.

It was hard to get them to sit still so we could take pictures with them.

We had a baby shower for Kylee on July 10th. I decorated everything in yellow and blue. The theme was around bath time. It was fun to have friends and family come and visit. We were outside and then it began to sprinkle and had to move into my yucky house. Oh well, it still turned out okay. It was fun to have Kylee home for a few days.

Karrie's 16th Birthday

Wow, children do grow up way too fast. Karrie has turned 16. She is such a joy in our family. She brings so much joy to our life. She is always trying to do her best in everything. She works hard in school and all the sport things that she tries. She may not be the best, but no one works harder then her. She has been the best thing for our family and we can't believe that she is 16. I look forward to the next 16 years with her. She is a young beautiful girl and I hate when people make her feel bad. I want to protect her from that but cannot stop it.

It begins by decorating the room. Thanks to Megan, she did an awesome job!!!!!

After Leah's program, we let her decided where she wanted to eat and of course it was McDonald's. It was really fun. What would I do with out my grandkids. I am so thankful that Megan lets me spend time with them. I enjoy all that they do for me.

Oh my!!!! The school year is coming to an end and so his Colby's senior year. I am beginning to really stress out about this. He has to be out to school on June 12th. That is not much time to prepare myself to let him go out into the big wide world. He has signed on with UVU so maybe we can see him wrestle sometimes. I finally got his pictures done. Here are some of them. I thought they turned out really good.

Karrie's Room

We finally got Karrie's room finished. We have been trying forever to finish it and finally decided that we would yesterday since we are on Spring Break. Karrie, Reggie (my niece's daughter) and I got busy and finally finished it at midnight. It was a lot of work, but we think it turned out cute. It took forever to paint the polka dots. Leah came before we painted the polka dots and announced that she really didn't like the color brown. She told Karrie that this made her room a boy's room because brown is a boy's color. She said that she was painting her room pink. Karrie now is so glad to have a room that looks more her age. All we have to do now is put all her stuff back in room. (After we throw lots of things away!!!! Thanks Reggie!!!!!) Then she will be back into her room. We will be buying new carpet for her room this summer then it will be complete until she grows up and leaves me like the rest of them have. (except Cade) I was amazed that the room was finished because everytime I left the room Karrien and Reggie managed to get lots of paint on them. Children.

Kylee sent me a picture of her baby's ultrasound. It is a cute picture and I can already tell that this grandbaby is as cute as my other grandbabies. I am so excited for Kylee and Cory to have their first child. I wish they lived closer so I could spoil it. I am sure though I can manage to spoil it from here. I will just be making lots and lots of trips to Elko. Vincent better work lots of overtime since I haven't had a raise in the past 3 years.

Green River, Wyoming, Best of the Best

We traveled to Green River for the weekend. This tournament is a dual. The team wrestles against other teams and then the pick the best wrestlers of the 2 days and they wrestle in the best of the best. Colby pinned everyone except one that he teched. He was chosen to wrestle in the best of the best. They receive a singlet. Colby got a red one. This is his third time winning at the best of the best. Good Job Colby.

Colby did awesome this weekend. Karrie took a lot of the pictures until the end. She made some friends and was hanging out with them and talking to boys. We can't believe that she talks to boys, but she does. Colby says that she cannot go to anymore wrestling matches.

Tournament of The Champs

Our lives right now seems to be consumed with wrestling. It is sad to think that this is Colby's senior year, but look forward to seeing what he does with his life as he embarks on a new things. Colby is doing really well this year. He was picked for Allstars for a third time. Unfortunately he lost his match, we had to take him to the emergency room the night before because his stomach hurt so bad. We wanted to play it safe after what happened last year. I wonder if he would have won the Allstar match if he hadn't been sick all weekend. Oh well, I thought he did wonderful anyway. He wrestled on Wednesday, Thursday and then it was the Tournament of the Champs. 32 teams came to compete from Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Colby one his matches on Friday. He had 2 and pinned both wrestlers. Then that night he was sick, he threw-up all night. I felt so bad for him. He had 2 matches and made it to the finals. He went home to sleep and try to feel better. Finals began at 5:00, Colby was still really sick. He had to wrestle a kid from Payson. He had beat this kid on Thursday by a tech. The match was terrible. Colby was really sick and at one point had to stop to throw-up. Then he went out and threw the kid in overtime and one the match. He amazed me that he could do something like that after throwing up. This is the second time he has won Tournament of the Champs. He won it when he was a freshman, took 2nd his sophmore year and junior year. Great job Colby.

Christmas Morning 2009

You would think with our kids being older that we would not get up early on Christmas day. No such luck, Karrie woke up at 3 , then at 4 and then finally at 5 we all got up. It is so funny how excited they still are about Christmas. Karrie got a mini-laptop and Colby got a x-box 360 elite. Cade got a new pair of chaps. I still love this time of year even though the children are getting older and some are not at home with us. After we opened our presents, we let Vincent go back to bed since he had worked the night before and would be going in later. Cade had to go to work at 5 and would come home later in the day. Casey called us at 9 and we went to his house to let the children open their presents from us. They were so excited about what Santa had brought them. Justin had received a workbench and Leah a kitchen. They also got a riding John Deer tractor that they both loved. I love buying for the grandkids and always overdue it, but Vincent never gets mad when it is for the grandchildren.

What a great Christmas this has been!!!!! The year was busy with a wedding and this being Colby's senior year. We also got a new grandbaby this year. What a great life Vincent and I have. I couldn't ask for anything better!!!!!!!!!!

Our Christmas Eve Party

This year Casey and Megan were at our house for Christmas Eve. Vincent had to work and Kylee and Cory couldn't make it out. We had a big dinnner and broke a piñata, which we have been doing since Casey was 1 years old. Vincent's mom started the tradition and we are the only ones that have always done that. It is great fun. Then we open the presents of the people we drew names on and then we read the Christmas story and then sing happy b-day to Jesus. It is very fun and I love preparing for this night. Justin was able to hit the piñata first.

Then it was Leah's turn to hit the piñata. She was having a lot of fun too.

I didn't take any pictures of our Wii bowling game. It was really fun and I finally won everyone. It was a great evening. Then we read the story about Jesus's birth and Leah told us that is why we have Christmas. Then we sang happy b-day to Jesus. It was a great way to celebrate his birth and remember the true meaning of Christmas!!!!!! I just wish everyone would have been able to be here. We missed Kylee tremendously. This was her first Christmas without us and I did have a hard time later though we are happy for her and glad to have Cory in our family.

My Family's Christmas Party

My wonderful mom decided to have a Christmas Party. We had it in the building where she lives. Karrie and I was the only ones able to attend this party from my family. Colby was in Florida wrestling. He took 2nd place. He wasn't very happy about that. I thought it was great. Cade, Vincent and Casey had to work. Kylee and Cory couldn't make it. Most of Brenda's kids came and Craig's family came except for Trevor. It was fun to be with my crazy and I mean crazy, loud family. I would have it any other way.

Vincent's Family Christmas Party

Every year, Vincent's family has a Christmas Party. It is great fun to see those who come and to see Santa come to the party every year. We also exchange gifts and have lots of food to eat. It is a fun time to be with Vincent's cousins and his Grandpa.
This is all from my family that was able to make it. Colby had wrestling in Millard. He won by pinning everyone except 2 that he actually teched. Kylee was unable to come with Cory. We missed them dearly. Hopefully next year they can make it. What a cute bunch, if I was out of the picture.

Yes, even I had to sit on Santa's lap. I asked him to help me lose about 20 lbs. I think I might have gained that instead of losing that. He must have misunderstood me.

Wrestling has begun

It is so hard to keep up with everything and now wrestling has begun. Colby went to Millard Duals and wrestled 10 matches. He won them all. He pinned 8 wrestlers. His other two matches, he won one by 15 to 1 and the last match he won 10 to 0. Then Green River came here on Wednesday and he one his match 19 to 5. He is now in Florida (What is wrong with this picture!). Today he won all of his matches by pins, he had 4 matches today. He called and let me know that it was 80 there. I let him know that it was -13 this morning when I went to work. Yes, I believe that I should be in Florida and not here in Vernal. We are very proud of Colby and hope he does well tomorrow.

Busy, Busy Time

I haven't posted for a long time. Things are always crazy at our house. We have had to deal with Karrie's asthma. She had an attack awhile ago and still isn't over it. She was on the cross country team for the high school and really enjoying it and improving each time. Then she had an asthma attack one day at school and we took her to the doctor 3 days in a row to get help. Then she finally was over the attack, but she could only breath at 200 and she should breath at 387 so the doctor said she couldn't do cross country she was broken hearted. Then she was planning on being on the swimming team, but we went to the doctor on Wednesday and she was only at a 250 so no swimming either. Yuck, yuck for us and mostly for her, but maybe next year will be better for her.

Then Colby's truck broke down and we had to get it fixed. It was just the breaks and Vincent and him fixed it, but money doesn't grow on trees.

Casey and Megan came over to roast marshmellows and we did eat dinner first. Caleb is growing fast. He is so cute and a very cute baby. I enjoy my grandkids a lot. They bring me much happiness. Caleb way just chillin on my lap wide awake.

Caleb's Blessing Day

Caleb's baby blessind day was on July 26th. It was wonderful to be able to hear Casey give the blessing to his son. I am so thankful for my family and how they are growing in the gospel. The Lord couldn't have given me better children, daughter-in-law and beautiful grandchildren. This proves that prayers are answered.

Reception in Vernal

The reception in Vernal went well. I was so nervous and stressed out. Thanks for Sandra and Amber in helping me out and telling me not to stress. I had waited until Friday to do a cd for Kylee and Cory's reception. It took me forever, but I think it turned out okay. I also waited to make the book for guest to sign. I decided to use different pictures of them. Nothing like waiting to the last minute. All in all though I think it went well. Even though the caters forgot the centerpieces and the music. We brought music and went without the centerpieces. We appreciate all the people who came to celebrate the marriage of Kylee and Cory. It was fun to see everyone that could come. We think that Kylee and Cory are a wonderful couple and look forward to their life. We are glad to have Cory join in our crazy family. We love them both lots and lots. We were so happy to survive.

We decided to stay an extra day when we went to Kylee and Cory's reception in NV. We bought a bucket of chicken and went to Lamoille Canyon. It was really fun though it began to rain on us. We also had to pay 5 dollars for each car to park. I thought they only did that in Utah. Then we took the kids to the Marina to feed the ducks and geese. It was really fun. Here is a few pictures of the day.

It was fun seeing people I knew and visiting with them. I miss my friends from there.

Trip for the dress

We just got back from picking up Kylee's dress. She is so pretty in the dress. It was like it was made just for her. We also finished buying for the rest. We got cute pants for Caleb. He will look so handsome. We also bought a pair of pants for Justin and 2 more ties that we forgot. Then we bought shoes for Karrie and I. Then we bought Colby's clothes and now we should be set. Of course, I snuck in a few extra outfits for Caleb since he is our new little addition. The days are flying by for the Wedding. 10 more days and my baby will be married. I am happy and sad at the same time. Vincent says we cannot talk about it right now because he doesn't want to think about Kylee leaving. He took her horse riding the other day and they had a blast. We are all trying to spend as much time with her before she is married. Except, Karrie, who seems to have disappeared. LOL We also let Kylee pick out her wedding present. I think I will need a second job after all of this.

We always take the kids out on their birthday. We call it their birthday dinner. Karrie chose to go to Don Pedros. It is a new resturaunt in Vernal. It is really good. Karrie's 15th Birthday

I cannot believe that my baby turned 15 this year. Where has all the time gone? She is such a joy to our family. She is always happy and cheerful (okay most of the time she is a teenager!!!). She is not the drama queen Kylee was so that makes it a little better. We had to celebrate her birthday on Saturday instead of Friday. She wanted to go to Don Pedros for dinner. (Pictures for that our coming soon!!!!!) Casey and Megan came. It was really good. Then home to open presents. Colby is always texting. It looks like he is doing it in his sleep.

Second Day of Caleb's life

Caleb Timothy Christensen

Today was the birth of our new grandson, Caleb Timothy Christensen. He arrived this morning at 6:32 am. He weighed in at 6 lbs 6 oz and was 19 inches long. Megan said that everything went smoothly. I stayed at their house with the children. They called me at about 2:45 to come and sit with the children at home. He is so dang cute. He seems to have lighter hair than the other two. What a joy to have grandchildren.

Colby thinks that Casey should have 12 boys then they could be the whole varsity wrestling team for Uintah. Megan says keep dreaming Colby. Maybe Cade could get married and have a few. LOL

Justin wasn't so sure about this gaga(baby in Justin talk). He took sometime to warm up to the Caleb, but finally decided to give him a kiss.

Leah was so cute with her mom and telling her everything that Caleb was saying.

My beautiful daughter in-law, who has blessed our lives. Casey did a great job in chosing to marry this one. She is truly a great mom and we all love her.

Karrie is a proud new aunt and couldn't wait to hold Caleb. It was a fight on who was able to hold him first.

Casey is a great dad and loves each of his children. I guess I did okay in raising him.

Proud grandpa Vincent, he couldn't wait to get over to the hospital to hold the new little one. We had to pry him from his arms so we all could have a turn. He could have at least taken off that ugyly hat.

He is such a blessing to our family. It is so neat to hold something that has just came from our dear Heavenly Father. It makes the world a better place.

Yes, I would say that they did a great job in creating this beautiful child. I could never imagine that being a grandparent would bring so much happiness to our lives, but it does. I love each and everyone of them.
Welcome Caleb to our little clan. We know that you will bring us much joy and we all love you lots.

Kylee's Wedding Dress

We finally bought Kylee's dress yesterday. Kylee, Karrie and I traveled to Orem yesterday and finished some wedding stuff. We bought the wedding dress and shirts and ties. I am now broke again and need to take a second job. The dress is beautiful and we of course bought accessories. I think it would have been cheaper to give Kylee money and they elope. Oh, well at least I only have 2 girls to buy for. One is almost done and then I will have only one more.

Kylee's Bridal Shower

Kylee's bridal shower turned out fine. I was so stressed about it. That morning I got up at 4:30 to get ready to go and get my mom in Brigham City because none of my family was coming and none of them would meet me in Heber. I rushed out and got her and got back to get ready for the shower. I still had to make the potato salad which I did. I think it went well and Kylee had fun. She got wonderful gifts. I appreciate everyone that came to the shower. It was great to see Kylee. We put a princess crown on her and gave her a wand. She has always thought she was a princess. Her dad always told her she was his little princess. This is Kylee's dog Bella. She calls thinks the dog is her little princess.

This was her cute little nite from Karrie. Karrie thought that this would be a funny gift for Kylee.

Kylee had fun opening gifts. I told her that her apartment might be to small for everything so I could help take some of the stuff. She doesn't agree.

Karrie and some of the other little kids sprayed Kylee with silly string. It was quite funny.

Kylee had to stuff a piece of bubble gum in her mouth everytime she got a question wrong about Cory. She had 15 pieces in her mouth. We always knew that she had a big mouth.

It was fun for Kylee and I hope the rest of them. Cory's mom and sister Lisa came all the way from Nevada to the shower and they drove all they way back that night. The reality of Kylee getting married is beginning to sink in. We love her lots and love to see what a beautiful young lady she has grown to be.

Kylee's Birthday

I can't not believe that Kylee turned 20 this year. It just seems like yesterday we held her in our arms and was so excited to get our first little girl. We were told that we would not be able to have any more children and Kylee was our little miracle. The doctor was jumping up and down showing me the results. I was amazed and glad to be able to have Kylee join are little family. She was her dad's little princess and still is. Her brothers were so excited to get a girl. They treated her like a princess. She could get them to do anything for her including cleaning her very messy room. Then they became her protector and she couldn't do anything or date anyone without them getting involved. Poor Kylee. Luckily they all love Cory.

Kylee you were always dancing around and doing flips. You always wanted to dance and be a gymnast. You accomplished both. We are all so proud to watch you dance and cheer. You were awesome and still are.

You also loved horses and always dressed up in the outfit Grandpa Newell made for you. You were so cute.

Here you are at one of your first individual competitions. You took first. Yeah!!!!

You also loved to swim and always wished we had a diving team here in Vernal. You were awesome at diving just as you were on doing flips on the floor.

Pugsley was one of your favorite dogs and you would snuggle up with him and go to sleep. You were so cute when you were asleep.

You always wanted to be at the top of the pyramids and you accomplished that when you became older too!!!

You prayed for a little sister and was so excited when I became pregnant. When I lost that baby you cried and cried. Then you came out one day and told me that I was going to have a baby girl and that Jesus told you so. I told you that I was not going to have anymore. You were right and I was wrong. We had Karrie and you loved her a lot except when she turned two then you asked me if we could send her back because she made too many messes. You are a great example for her and help her in so many ways.

You have always been close to all of your brothers and they love you a lot. Your whole face goes red when you cry.

Colby's Junior Prom night was a real cool thing to see him all dressed up. He decided to get a white with black pin strip tux. I thought he looked very handsome. He took Candace Workman. She is a friend. In fact, she is the girl on his wrestling team. Her boyfriend was not going and the girl Colby likes had a dance competition so he asked Candace. Justin and Leah were here and Justin decided he needed to get his picture taken too. This is a picture of him showing us his muscles. The whole family is so excited to have Cory become part of our family. All my boys think he is awesome and can't wait for them to marry. I think Kylee will have a hard time keeping him away from them. They are always making plans. Kylee and Cory make a cute couple and I can't wait for them to be married. It is a sad time and a happy time. I will miss Kylee dearly, but look forward to getting a new (crazy) son.

Dinner with the missionaries

Tonight the we had the missionaries over for dinner. I had to rush home from school to quickly get dinner finished since we had a soccer game the night before. I was feeling very stressed. End of the school year is a very busy time for me and stressful. When I got home Vincent had mopped the kitchen floor and did the dishes. Kylee had cleaned the living room and Karrie had cleaned the bathroom. I was very pleased that my family had pitched in and help by cleaning. I then cooked supper and made chocolate ice box for a treat after dinner. It was a fun time. Then Colby went on splits with the missionaries. He also made his final plans for Junior Prom, which is tomorrow night.

Colby went to Junior Nationals at Virginia Beach this week. He took 2nd. We are really proud of him. He is not happy with it, but we all think that it is awesome. We were not able to go with him so hopefully someone took pictures for us and I can post them when he gets back. WAY TO GO COLBY!!!!!!

Babysitting Grandkids

I was given the opportunity to babysit the grand kids. I was thrilled to have them come and spend time at my house. Leah came dressed up in her Bella dress and slippers. She informed me that she was dressed all in yellow and maybe the chickens would think she was their big momma in yellow. Then she proceeded to tell me that Justin is her prince because he has yellow letters on his shirt. Where does she come up with this stuff?

Then we put together puzzles that I had bought for them. They both helped and Leah was very good at putting them together. I really enjoy having them come to my house. They keep me young.

Megan had Kylee give Justin a haircut. He was not very happy with having his haircut. I think it turned out rather cute.

Sleepover at Grandma's house

Leah has been wanting to stay over and so she finally was able to stay with me on Friday night. We played paper dolls (magnet). She usually tells you what to say and how to act and even what to wear. It is very fun. Then off to bed we went, she slept in bed with me and we read the scriptures out loud. She tried to repeat everything I said.

In the morning, we got up and ate scrambled eggs (her favorite). Then she and I went to do the chores outside. We feed the chickens and watered them. She loves to feed the chickens and try to pick them up. Then we feed Maggie, our big dog and then we feed the horses. She was really proud of herself so we had to call grandpa Vincent to tell him about it. Then she wanted to take a bath and I had to bribe her to get out. I really enjoy my grandchildren and love having them over. I hope that some of the others get married one day and give me more.

The Chickens have arrived.

After a day of feeding chickens worms, we had sometime outside playing around. It is so nice to have some nice days. We enjoyed watching the grandkids on the tramp and Kylee trying to do some tricks. (She forgets that she is getting old. LOL)

Leah is braver this year and now will jump by herself on the tramp.

My husband decided to get chickens again. We had them along time ago in Nevada. The first adventure with chickens brings back many memories.(not all of them good) This time though, it is for the grandkids. Leah loves are baby chickens. She calls them are little darlings. She comes over everyday to feed and water them. It is rather cute to see her and Justin take care of the chickens. Let us hope that there will be no mean chickens this time around.

We are finally home from the hospital. Karrie and some of her friends cleaned the house. Kylee did laundry. It was nice to come home to a clean place. Colby is doing much better, but over did it the first day back and was nauseated the first night home. He goes to the doctor to day to see if he can eat solid food again.

Colby also won state this year and also received outstanding wrestler. He is working very hard and should be able to go to college on a wrestling scholarship. It is fun to watch him grow up.

I believe that he gets his talent from his mother. (LOL)

Colby in the Hospital

Colby is doing much better and is bored of being in the hospital. We should be able to leave on Wednesday. His heart rate dropped really low last night and they called the doctor in. When he looked at Colby, he realized that he is in such good shape that is why his heart rate was so low. They also told as that his fat count was very low. I offered to share some of my fat.

Colby woke up on Thursday at 12:45 really sick. We thought he had an appendicitis, but unfortunately it was something worse. He has an infection in his intestine. Vincent and the doctor gave him a blessing. Then he was transported by ambulance to Primary Children's Hospital. He is doing much better and wishes he could eat.
